Financial support available in August 2023
1. Ukrainian student
Digitálna koalícia
Financial support of 350 euros to purchase a digital device for primary and secondary school students in Slovakia who are citizens of Ukraine with temporary refuge in Slovakia.
2. Cash for Child Development and Education programme

This cash assistance aims to help with school-related expenses, such as: basic school supplies, school meals, transportation costs, extracurricular activities and/or furbishing child spaces for learning.
3. Cash assistance for education and support for school enrolment
UNICEF-UNHCR
The cash assistance will be provided by UNICEF to all refugees (including Temporary Protection beneficiaries/”Odidenec”), asylum seekers and stateless persons in Slovakia, as long they are parents or guardians of a child. This also applies if your child (aged 17 or under) is a student in a Slovak university, as long as he/she is registered as a refugee (or Temporary Protection beneficiary), asylum-seeker, or stateless person.
4. Cash assistance for people with chronic diseases displaced from Ukraine
Slovak Red Cross
The allowance can be used for medical consultations and treatments, medicines and other expenses related to the person’s health condition, nutritional supplements, transport to medical facilities, etc. The amount of financial assistance being provided is 60 euros per month, for three months.
5. Cash assistance for vulnerable refugees in Slovakia
UNICEF-UNHCR
Cash assistance will be provided to vulnerable individuals and families to minimize protection risks, and support with their basic needs.
6. The grant for providing accommodation to refugees
The Government of the Slovak republic
The grant for providing accommodation to refugees will be paid to the owner of the accommodation until December 31, 2023. People fleeing the war in Ukraine can apply for free accommodation provided by the state, local governments, individuals and private companies.
